IB Definition:
Surveillance is the use of IT to monitor the actions of people. For example, monitoring may be used to
track, record and assess employees’ performance. It can be used to support claims for promotion or to ensure that employees follow the organization’s internet policy appropriately.

You are always tracked by surveillance cameras wherever you go in London
during the cold war the CIA built an underground passage in Berlin to the east side, to tap into he conversations of the Russian leaders and know their next moves.
Radar vision -- used by policemen to see through the wall where the person is in the room.
lens-- people were able to see closely from a distance and this already gave them a lot of information.
Bugs-- were used through out the history of wars with spies, tapping into each others conversations.
- you can have bugs as big as a grain of rice
Trackers-- can be implanted into your clothes, and even in yourself
glasses-- there are certain glasses that when you look at somebody. The lens will connect the points on the persons face to recreate that persons face structure and identify who the person is and give you the information that is publicly known.
